The second part of my character/glove/robot design for Perrin.
The remote control glove intuitively captures the user motion and relays it to the robot.
This expands to:
- I want the technology to react impulsively. Each violet ‘gem’ houses a gyroscope which interprets the arm and hand’s relative position as a command.
- I want the glove to be powered by the character’s psychic ability. There are no wires or exposed parts.
- I want the glove to be feminine and elegant but still protective. This translated to Art Deco designs which wrap around, not just cover, the forearm.
Figuring out how it would wrap around was a doozy. Especially since I had to build it in real life.
